Osmond Simon in his dining room at Westways, Le Mont Rossignol,

During the World War Two German Occupation of Jersey 1940-1945 Osmund was a teenager. Him and his two brothers made homemade crystal radio sets to counter the German ban on wireless sets enforced in June 1942. The Godfray Map of 1849 is displayed in many Jersey houses. It is marked with the names of the occupants of the principle houses in the island.
